Global custom POA&M fields can also be created in Settings as fields that will appear every time a POA&M is created. To create a custom POA&M field that will be available across all systems, go to Settings. Scroll to the bottom, and on the right select "POA&M Custom Field Configuration."
Local custom POA&M fields can be configured in individual systems referenced in Edit System | Advanced Configuration | Configure Custom POA&M Fields. Foundational information about POA&Ms can be found in Introduction and Navigation.
When creating a local and global custom field, the creation steps and field types are the same. The Add Custom POA&M Field page will allow you to add several different types of Custom POA&M Fields. Select the kind of field you want to add, and drag and drop it into the "Properties" box.
A popup will appear for you to fill out your desired information. You will also decide whether you want the field to be mandatory or not. Remember that making it a mandatory field will make it mandatory for all future POA&Ms.
Once you have filled out the different sections, click DONE in the bottom right of the popup. Be sure to click SAVE on the top right of the Add Custom Field page, as well.
To delete a Custom POA&M Field, select the small, red trash icon next to the Custom POA&M field in the Custom Fields section.
It is possible to remove a Global POA&M field from a specific System as it may not apply to all situations. Instructions to remove a Global field from a system, refer to instructions under Edit System | Advanced Configuration | Configure Custom POA&M Fields.
